About Us

Meet Meryem

Hi, I’m Meryem, the voice and vision behind Meryma Learning.

I have spent the past three years teaching in upper elementary classrooms and during that time I have learned that teaching is as rewarding as it is challenging. There were days when I felt like I was juggling a hundred tasks at once, planning lessons, managing behaviors, differentiating instruction, and still trying to make learning exciting for every student. That is when I realized teachers need practical tools, not just ideas.

That realization inspired me to start Meryma Learning, a space where I could share the resources, strategies, and content I wished I had when I started teaching.

My Journey

I fell in love with teaching because of the little moments, a student’s eyes lighting up when a concept finally clicks, the quiet pride after completing a challenging project, or the laughter echoing across a classroom after a creative activity. I also saw how overwhelming the job can be, especially when resources are scattered or hard to find.

I began creating my own materials, including worksheets, lesson plans, and interactive activities, and realized that sharing them could help other teachers save time and make learning more meaningful. Every resource I design comes from real classroom experience, trial and error, and a deep understanding of what works for students.

Why Meryma Learning Exists

Meryma Learning is built around one simple idea, teaching should be impactful, manageable, and even joyful.

I want to help teachers feel confident in their classrooms and free from the stress of starting from scratch every week. Whether it is a lesson plan that sparks curiosity or a tool that helps students reflect and grow, my goal is to provide materials that make teaching more enjoyable and learning more meaningful.

What You Will Find Here

On this blog you will discover:

  • Practical classroom resources tested in real teaching scenarios

  • Creative strategies to engage upper elementary learners

  • Tips for managing lessons, reflection, and student growth

  • Honest insights into the challenges and joys of teaching

Every post, activity, and resource comes from my experiences, successes, and sometimes mistakes because teaching is a journey and not a perfect plan.

My Philosophy

I believe:

  • Progress matters more than perfection

  • Mistakes are opportunities for growth

  • Every student deserves to feel capable and confident

  • Teachers deserve support, encouragement, and practical tools

Teaching can be overwhelming, but it can also be deeply rewarding. I want Meryma Learning to be a place where both teachers and students thrive.

Beyond the Classroom

When I am not teaching or creating resources, I am constantly learning, exploring new strategies, researching educational trends, and experimenting with ideas that I hope will make lessons more effective. Every discovery, success, and challenge informs the resources I share.
